AA and TA funny cars are pretty much an even match in the1/8 mile so they'll run in the same class. An AA will kill a TA in the 1/4 mile therefore they run 2 separate classes.

I am amazed to see how much damage can happen so quickly. I didn't realize that Top Alcohol engines can suffer failures similar to Top Fuel engines

Thanks for sharing! I have always wondered how different the two types of cars handled. I believe I'm right in saying the Nitro cars (TF & FC) race over 1000 feet and the Alcohol cars (TAD & TAFC) race over 1320 feet (full quarter mile)
